Had tickets to a show in Palo Alto so Made dinner reservations here for two at 6 PM. There is street parking and an adjacent parking lot. I got lucky with a nearby spot with I think 3 hours Free parking. The restaurant had ample greenery, and a warm vibe. Service was attentive and helpful, She let me know if she could make almost anything vegetarian if prompted. I started with Lychee ice tea, which was slightly sweet, and very refreshing, with caffeine. For an appetizer we ordered the Golden eggplant which was crispy and tasty. For my entree I ordered the pumpkin red curry with tofu and a side of steamed rice. I loved the velvety curry, and it had plentiful vegetables and pumpkin. My cousin enjoyed her chicken pad see ewe. I would come back-- Especially given the vegetarian possibilities!!

The food was great, but the serving size was a little too small for what I was paying, in my opinion. Personally recommend the drunken noodles, they were bomb. Nice interior and ambience too, in a great location.

Great Thai spot in Palo Alto! Ambiance and decor were very pretty and nice. The food was very tasty, especially the pad Thai with chicken! Service was nice and fast. Definitely recommend if you're in the area and looking for Thai food.

I love Thai food. The food and service here is good. It's not a large place or super busy but comfortable. Fish cakes were okay but not a hit with the family. They do not cut well with forks. The yellow curry had good flavor and a rich sauce. The pad see ew noodles were soft. The Pad Thai had good flavor and texture. Roti & curry sauce is always a favorite for us. Fried bananas with honey were good and we could taste the coconut in the ice cream. We would eat here again if we were in the neighborhood.

Solid spot for Thai food, great location on University Ave and very comfortable clean ambiance. Lots of seating both indoor and outdoor and really attentive service. Got seated as a party of 7 immediately for a Tuesday dinner. Decent portion sizes, got the pad see ew chicken and it was very filling. I got spice level 4/5 which I would probably say is a typical medium spice level.

Second time visiting Thaiphoon, and it is just as great as I remembered it from my fist visit. We came without a reservation on a Tuesday night, were seated immediately, and our food was out very quickly after we ordered. I ordered the shaken beef and the pad see ew. The shaken beef portion size is on the smaller side but the taste makes it worth. Pad see ew was gas. Only thing is I had asked for my pad see ew to be medium spice, but honestly it was more on the mild side. So maybe order up one level of spice if that is what you are looking for. Also, the mango deserts here are so good. The tapioca mango pudding is the only way to end your dinner here.
